First and foremost, I would like to give a shevach vehoda’ah to Hakadosh Baruch Hu for not only making this song a reality but for also making this summer work out as beautifully as it did. This was a clear case of Him showering us with His everlasting love. We all know how uncertain the probability of camp opening this year was - even until mid-June - and the fact that we had a summer like this is something we must always remember and cherish.

There are plenty of individuals who deserve thanks not just for helping produce this song, but separately for helping camp as a whole operate flawlessly this summer.

Thank you to Rabbi Yehuda Friedman and his group of maintenance staff who worked tirelessly to get Camp Agudah Winaukee up and running in time for the summer, and for always being there when needed throughout the summer.

Huge thank you to the best campers and counselors in the world! You guys came in with an unbelievable attitude and made the most out of every situation. From those of you who I have gotten to know, I can say that you all grew from this summer even if you didn’t realize it. Make sure you keep that feeling with you and have an amazing year in yeshiva!

Now to specific thank you’s with regards to the song production. First and foremost, a tremendous thank you to Rabbi Kleinman shlita for coming up with the idea, taking it to the next step, and always being on top of it. I hope I made rebbi proud, and thanks for always believing in me throughout the whole process.

Next, thank you to the one and only magician Doni Gross. It was a huge pleasure to actually get to work with you a bit. I still can't get over how you were able to pull this off to make it sound so gorgeous. Your expertise shines through all your work! I'm forever grateful.

Next in line, thanks to our beautiful vocalists Mendy Schachter and Yehuda Kirschner. Mendy, once again you knocked it out of the park and did an amazing job. CA Productions veteran! Thanks for being so ready to take this on when I asked you and may you keep using your tremendous gift in the right way. Yehuda, from the first second you were all in and ready to go even though it was during color war! Thank you for making this sound so gorgeous with your unique voice. It was a pleasure having you as a camper first half and building a relationship with you! Hatzlacha next year in Mesivta.

Special thank you to our studio the workout room, and the random mattress with Aron Lowenthal’s phone.

Aron - where do I start? Thank you for helping me make this production as beautiful as it is. Your expertise in navigating every aspect of seeing a production through from A-Z was invaluable to me. Thank you for recording the vocals on your phone and for being the go between us and Doni. Just when you thought you were done with CA Productions...

Also, special thank you to Dovi Geizhals and Alti Hoffman for all the moral support throughout the process - it really helped. Thanks for being such great friends! Dovi, special thanks for the picture for the cover, it was a masterpiece. You will clearly make a tremendous photographer one day... Also, thanks for the idea for the song name.

On the topic of cover's, huge thank you to Yehuda Weis for working on a gorgeous cover! It came out great thanks so much. Thank you as well to Aaron Eliezer Pilchick for your technical expertise and help with the cover.

Next up is my dear friend Yehuda Lowenthal. First, thanks for being the greatest friend I can ever ask for! Congrats on color war and that grand sing was really something special! Second, thank you for understanding the importance of this song even during color war when I was leading for you - and for even offering to help me write it. Those are the hallmarks of a true friend. I would say more but now is not the time, so just know I love you forever.

Thank you to the one and only infinitely handsome Eliezer Frank for coming up clutch at the end of this project. Your absolute wizardry of the English language and veteran production experience helped bring the production to the finish line.

Thank you as well to the multi-talented Eli Serebrowski whose patience and technical assistance with CA Productions is crucial in getting the songs out.

Next, a huge thank you to Rabbi Shimon Newmark for being an unreal and truly dedicated director. Your level of mesiras nefesh is never ending and unbeatable. You are a true role model for all of us. Thank you for trying endlessly to make camp happen and for working tirelessly to help it run smoothly once it started. Thanks to your efforts and with Hashems help, so many people were able to have the experience of a lifetime and we're forever grateful!

And now to the most important thank you of all, to our amazing and dear head staff to whom this song is dedicated to. There are times in life when one can give up or call it quits on a project which is incredibly challenging, and people would understand. This summer was one of those times, and you never quit; you never gave up. You helped make this summer happen, and it was truly a one of a kind summer! From the moment it was decided that we would be in Winaukee, you guys went above and beyond to make this as awesome an experience as possible. Then when the summer began, you went the extra mile to make sure things ran smoothly and that the kids were having the best time possible even when there was so much stress behind the scenes. In my opinion, part of the focus of a summer is that there are lessons and experiences to take with us to help us grow and shteig in yeshiva. You provide that for us year in and year out. This year we experienced this more than ever and most of it came from the head staff constantly being a source of guidance to us. That’s part of the uniqueness of this summer more so than any other. So, to T4 and be extremely cheesy, thank you for orchestrating a masterpiece that was the catalyst to give us our lives back. May Hashem continue to give all of you koach to keep doing your amazing work and keep being tremendous role models to all of us.

Everyone have an amazing year and looking forward to seeing everyone next year in Camp Agudah Yerushalayim!!!!

With tremendous gratitude,

Akiva Besser

Lyrics

Week after week, losing track of the days

Locked inside my home my cage

World upside down each day brings new fears

How much more pain can I bare

Camp must happen I hope desperately That's what's keeping me going

Without the summer being the light

Will the sun ever shine bright

AGUDAH YOU GAVE ME A CHANCE TO BE FREE

REUNITE WITH MY FAMILY

FROM SUCH A LOW TO THE HIGHEST OF HIGHS

IS IT A WONDER I CAN'T SAY GOODBYE

GAZE ACROSS THE LAKE AT THE SUNSET

THIS SCENE I'LL NEVER FORGET

SO NOW I SAY TO THE HEAD STAFF

THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK

When we first came I felt unsure

Is this place really the cure

No matter how much they try or say

This year is just not the same

Now at the end I step back and think

What this summer did for me

Suddenly something becomes crystal clear

I'm ready for next year

AGUDAH YOU GAVE ME A CHANCE TO BE FREE

REUNITE WITH MY FAMILY

FROM SUCH A LOW TO THE HIGHEST OF HIGHS

IS IT A WONDER I CAN'T SAY GOODBYE

GAZE ACROSS THE LAKE AT THE SUNSET

THIS SCENE I'LL NEVER FORGET

SO NOW I SAY TO THE HEAD STAFF

THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME MY LIFE BACK
