A Camp Agudah Monument

(2004 Yearbook)

...Since the Grand Sing was moved to the dining room and The Ranch was inaugurated this year, The Monument has been delegated to housing Camp Agudah's game room and junior Minyan. Ask a staff member, however, or even a senior camper, about our Monument, and his mind wanders back to a time before Gem cars, ice machines, or air conditioning. Who can forget the joys of spraying graffiti on the Social Hall walls, forever letting future generations of Ruach Country campers know which years you were fortunate to be a part of the greatest camp in the world. How about playing hockey with overturned benches to serve as boards, with play stopping when the puck would (more than!) occasionally get stuck? Or having GAGA BALL for night activity?

However, the full splendor of our Monument would come alive each summer on the last week of camp at the annual grand sing. One can still see hundreds of campers marching...
